Job Overview:
As the Reception Manager at Origin Massage Company, you will oversee the front-of-house operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and administrative support. Your role is pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation of the establishment and contributing to its profitability and success.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • To oversee the daily operations of the reception area, including greeting clients, managing bookings, and handling enquiries.
  • To recruit, train, and supervise reception staff and massage therapists, ensuring high standards of professionalism and performance.
  • To create and manage staff rota to optimize coverage and meet operational needs.
  • To conduct daily reconciliation of cash transactions and ensure accurate financial records.
  • To prepare weekly reports on key performance metrics, client feedback, and operational issues.
  • To provide ongoing staff training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • To implement marketing strategies and initiatives to increase brand awareness and attract new clients.
  • To monitor stock levels and liaise with suppliers for timely replenishment of inventory.
  • To oversee end-of-day lock-up procedures and opening protocols to ensure security and readiness for the next business day.
  • To ensure the company operates smoothly and profitably at all times, addressing any operational challenges promptly and effectively.
Working Conditions:
The Reception Manager role at Origin Massage Company requires working 4 days a week (Thursday - Sunday) with a total of 36 hours. You will be stationed at the front of the house in our massage parlour located at 92 Alexandra Park Rd, London N10 2AE. The environment may involve moderate noise levels and interacting with clients from diverse backgrounds.
 
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics (KSAOs):
  • Experience in the beauty or wellness industry is required
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a similar managerial role
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic knowledge of Excel
  • Strategic thinking to anticipate and address operational challenges
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Availability to start immediately is preferred
Required Qualifications:
  • Beauty qualification such as VRQ/NVQ (Vocational Related Qualification/National Vocational Qualification) or a diploma in beauty/massages
  • Previous experience in a managerial role, preferably in the beauty or wellness industry
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing staff, schedules, and operational tasks
  • Experience in marketing, brand management, and strategic planning is advantageous
  • Availability to start immediately is preferred
