Spa Therapist opportunities at the new Bayou Spa, located in the beautiful area of Kensington within the heart of London. Bayou Spa is the place to escape and rejuvenate, a serene oasis encompassing three treatment rooms, a Moroccan hammam with a heated relaxation lounge, a bath and a Mani/Pedi station. Our philosophy is to deliver high luxurious quality services to our guests while our highly skilled therapists approach each session as a personalised ritual.
Our range of spa treatments includes different types of massages, aromatherapy, body treatments, specialist facials, peels and other aesthetic treatments, spa treatments and classic beauty treatments as well as grooming and signature treatments, acupuncture, Moroccan hammam, lashes and brows services, semi-permanent makeup, manicure and pedicure and waxing.

Full-time and Part-time Spa Therapist positions are available.
Qualifications Required:
- A recognised and accredited Beauty Therapist qualification of (CIDESCO, CIBTAC, NVQ Level 3 / or above or equivalent)
- At least 2 years experience in a spa therapy/aesthetician position in a luxury 5-star environment (hotel or day spa)
- Reflexology, Pregnancy Massage, Hot Stone Massage and Oncology massage qualifications are advantageous
- Experience in Aromatherapy Massage, Indian Head, Body Treatments, Facials, Manicures & Pedicures and Gel application would be an advantage
- Positive attitude and friendly warm engaging manner are essential traits
- Excellent guest interaction and communication skills
- Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
- Highly organised and able to work independently
- Immaculate grooming standards
- Excellent level of written and spoken English, Fluency in a second language
would be beneficial
Responsibilities:
To maintain the standards of our Spa etiquette and service in all interactions with guests and staff. Responsible for providing all guests with customised personal attention that meets and exceeds all of their needs. Must be comfortable anticipating guests’ needs and discussing them and be responsible for addressing any extra details required to go above and beyond the guests
expectations.
- Responsible for spa treatment consultations and identification of possible contra-indications
- Will carry out an in-depth consultation with each client prior to treatment, ensuring medical history and concerns are identified
- Responsible for performing a variety of spa services, beauty & body therapy treatments, massage and specialised treatments for guests at a luxury 5*standard
- Perform different types of massages, facials, Lashes and Brows, body treatments, manicures and pedicures and waxing in a safe, professional and hygienic manner
- Recommending treatment aftercare and promoting spa retail products and other spa services
- Escort all guests to changing rooms, retail/ tea area or next appointment
- Advise all incoming guests of treatment procedures, special instructions, and billing information.
- Maintain guest confidentiality at all times
- Perform prep work, maintain the high standards of the treatment rooms and their inventory and equipment
- Maintain ample inventory of necessary products to perform treatments, all in an orderly and neat fashion
- Taking care of the Spa environment, keeping it clean and tidy
- To manage reservations for treatments and report for appointments on time and thoroughly review appointments before and after completing each service
- Keep up to date with the latest trends and servicing protocols with the aim to continue to improve and enhance our services
The package on Offer:
- Full-time, Part-time hours available
- Basic Salary: Up to £27,000 + depending on experience, plus Commission on Retail
- Schedule: 8-hour shift
- Weekend availability
- Uniform provided
- Ability to commute/relocate: London – reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
